Lakeview Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I to join our team. You will assist in preparation and dispensing under supervision, supporting pharmacists to optimize patient care.

Requirements include a high school diploma, Minnesota PTR registration at hire, and certification within 1 year. Preference given to candidates with 2–3 years of technician experience.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must obtain Minnesota Pharmacy Technician Registration (PTR) at hire/date.
• Must obtain CPhT or ExCPT within 1 year of hire/start date.
• Must follow State Board of Pharmacy guidelines/requirements for Pharmacy Technicians.
• Preferred: 2–3 years pharmacy technician experience.

Position Summary:

Performs activities involved in the preparation and dispensing of medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Technician completes pharmacy functions that do not require a licensed pharmacist, which allows pharmacist more time for clinical activities.

Required Qualifications:

Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:

• High school diploma or equivalent

Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:

• Minnesota Pharmacy Technician Registration (PTR) – required at hire/start date.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT or ExCPT) through Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA)-required within 1 year of hire/start date
• Must follow State Board of Pharmacy guidelines/requirements for Pharmacy Technicians
