Job summary

Park Nicollet is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join the Methodist Hospital Pharmacy team. Under pharmacist supervision, you will assist in dispensing medications to patients in compliance with state and federal guidelines, supporting accurate and timely pharmaceutical care.

We welcome certified or non-certified technicians; registration with the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy is required. Certified candidates may have CPhT credentials from PTCB or ExCPT.

Qualifications

• Certified or non-certified technician; registration with Minnesota Board of Pharmacy is required.
• Certification as CPhT through PTCB or ExCPT preferred for certified candidates.
• Experience as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in timely and accurate dispensing of medications under pharmacist supervision.
• Handle sterile and non-sterile medications following state and federal guidelines.
• Support day-to-day operations in the hospital pharmacy and patient care teams.

Position Summary:

Under direct supervision of a Pharmacist, assists in the timely and accurate dispensing of sterile hazardous and non-hazardous medications to patients in accordance with state and federal guidelines.

Work Schedule:

Available Shifts:

• 1.0 FTE
• Day/Eve rotating, with every other weekend on.
• 3 holidays per year

Required Qualifications:

We are open to filling this position with a Certified or Non-Certified technician. Requirements for each are outlined below:

Certified Pharmacy Technician:

• Must be registered with the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Technician certification required. Certification as CPhT through either the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT).

Non-Certified Technician:

• Must be registered with the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician

Preferred Qualifications:

• One or more recent years Pharmacy Technician experience preferred.
