Job summary

Lumicera Health Services is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I to join our team. Under the Pharmacist-in-Charge and other pharmacists, you will assist in dispensing and adjudicating medications, and you will contact doctors and patients via fax or phone.

You will translate prescription information into the dispensing software and help ensure accurate labeling and packaging for final pharmacist checks. You may also verify patient demographics, allergies, medication histories, payer information, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent; National CPhT/registration may be required by state.
• Minimum two years pharmacy support or healthcare experience preferred.
• Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives.
• Ability to interact cooperatively and respectfully with others.

Responsibilities

• Answer inbound calls from patients, prescribers, and other healthcare professionals.
• Contact doctors to obtain necessary prescription information to properly fill a prescription.
• Manage queues and work oldest orders first.
• Ensure correct shipment of specialty pharmacy orders.
• Maintain adequate inventory of pharmaceuticals, including ordering, receiving, verifying, and stocking supplies.
• Comply with all applicable federal and state laws and maintain high ethical standards.
