Job summary

Lumicera Health Services is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I in Peoria, IL. Under supervision, you will assist pharmacists in obtaining information to dispense medications and communicate with doctors and patients. This role focuses on accurate data transfer and preparing prescriptions for final check by the pharmacist.

Responsibilities include handling calls, contacting providers, managing queues, and supporting inventory and shipping of specialty orders. Competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• National CPhT certification and/or state licensure required per resident state's requirements.
• Minimum two years pharmacy support experience or healthcare environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer inbound calls from patients, prescribers, and other healthcare professionals.
• Contact doctors to obtain necessary prescription information to properly fill a prescription.
• Manage the queues and work oldest orders first.
• Ensure correct shipment of the specialty pharmacy orders.
• May be responsible for ensuring adequate inventory of pharmaceuticals and stocking supplies.
