Job description

Overview

Symbria Rx, located in Auburn, MA, is looking to add a full-time Delivery Driver/Pharmacy Technician to their team! The primary purpose of this position is to deliver medications and other supplies to all client communities and their residents.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect assigned vehicle; check fluid levels, gas, and air pressure and adjust accordingly to ensure safe and proper operation. Complete vehicle inspection report daily and report any problems to the supervisor.
  • Verify all orders are properly processed and bagged for delivery.
  • Follow pre-assigned delivery routes.
  • Meet daily deadlines for scheduled medication deliveries.
  • Return all items sent back by the community to the appropriate area after each run.
  • Complete and file all documentation required regarding deliveries, including written and digital signatures as proof of delivery.
  • Assist in the process of community returns in pharmacy software according to policies and procedures.
  • Communicate any client concerns to management.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities based on Route/Location
  • Complete on-site medication replenishments at client communities on a regular schedule.
Physical Requirements
  • The responsibilities of a delivery driver are often physically demanding and require good physical condition.
  • Must be able to withstand prolonged walking, standing, reaching, stooping, and bending.
  • Must be able to lift, position, or transfer supplies and equipment; minimum lifting requirement is 60 lbs.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • Valid driver’s license with a violation-free driving record as per eligibility requirements.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic computer problems.
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to act as a liaison between communities and pharmacy with professionalism.
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, and alternate shifts as needed for 24/7/365 operations.
