Job summary

UT Health Tyler is seeking a day shift, full-time Pharmacy Technician to join our Tyler, TX team. You will assist pharmacists with non-clinical medication preparation and support daily pharmacy operations in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualified candidates have 2+ years hospital pharmacy technician experience, BLS, and CTPhT/CPhT certification. Sterile compounding training is required or as per state rules, with opportunities for growth and professional development.

Qualifications

High School graduate or GED.
2+ years hospital pharmacy technician experience.
Completion of sterile compounding training/competency.
Active Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing with State BOPh (if required).
National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT).
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

Assist in the technical, non-clinical aspects of preparing medications for dispensing under pharmacist supervision.
Participate as a reliable, punctual team member in pharmacy operations.
Maintain competency in sterile IV medication compounding.
