Job summary

Tyler Regional Hospital in Tyler, TX is seeking a day shift, full-time Pharmacy Technician to support dispensing and pharmacy operations under supervision of a pharmacist.

You will need a High School diploma or GED, National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT), and BLS, with demonstrated sterile IV compounding competency and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• 2+ years hospital pharmacy technician experience.
• Sterile compounding training/competency required as per state rules.
• Active Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy (state dependent).
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT).
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer.

• Assist in the technical, non-clinical aspects of preparing medications for dispensing.

Responsibilities

• The pharmacy technician, under the supervision of a pharmacist, will assist in the technical, non-clinical aspects of preparing medications for dispensing and assist in pharmacy operations.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• High School graduate or GED.
• 2+ year's previous hospital pharmacy technician experience (inclusive of training programs).
• Completion of sterile compounding training/competency (as required by State BOP).
• Active Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy, if required by state of employment.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT).
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
