Job summary

UT Health East Texas in Tyler, TX is seeking an evening shift, full-time Clinical Pharmacist to join our hospital pharmacy team. You will provide safe, cost-effective pharmaceutical care, including drug dispensing and IV admixture, while supporting the Pharmacy Operations Manager and supervising staff.

The ideal candidate holds a B.S. or PharmD (ACPE-accredited) and an active pharmacist license, with required BLS and ACLS certifications.

Qualifications

• B.S. or Pharm D. from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• ACLS certification required for attending Code Blue.
• Completion of the TSBP educational requirements in the field of compounding sterile preparations OR must be capable of completing requirements within 90 days of hire date.

• Works under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy and/or the Pharmacy Operations Manager and will oversee the work of pharmacy technicians, students, and support staff.
