Job summary

Walgreens Co. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician who, under direct supervision, assists the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy and supports pharmacy department duties.

You will operate pharmacy systems, enter patient data, process prescriptions, and coach technicians and cashiers to ensure a smooth workflow. Must have PTCB certification and at least one year of experience in a retail or hospital setting, with willingness to work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• PTCB certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in Community Specialty Pharmacy, Health System Pharmacy locations, or in locations where this role is covered under a collective bargaining agreement)

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist and other department duties under supervision.
• Operate pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Coach pharmacy technicians and cashiers in routine operations and customer service.
• Handle cash and assist customers in locating products and services.
