Job summary

HAN Staff in Blythe, CA is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for a 13-week contract. The role is a W2 position paying $22.10 per hour with shifts Mon-Wed 8:00 AM–4:30 PM starting 12/15/2025.

You will assist pharmacists with preparing, packaging, and dispensing medications in a correctional healthcare setting. Minimum qualifications include a CA license or certification, at least 1 year of recent pharmacy tech experience, and current compliance documents such as BLS and immunization records.

Qualifications

• CA license/certification valid in good standing.
• Minimum 1 year of recent Certified Pharmacy Technician experience.
• Copy of PSV from licensing board if required.
• Current certifications (e.g., BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test).

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing, packaging, and dispensing medications.
• Receive and process prescription orders accurately.
• Measure, count, label, and package medications according to procedures.
• Maintain medication inventory and restock supplies as needed.
• Process insurance claims and assist with prescription billing when applicable.
• Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation.
• Ensure medications are stored properly and within expiration guidelines.
• Provide courteous customer service while directing clinical questions to the pharmacist.
• Follow pharmacy policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient pharmacy work environment.

• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a Certified Pharmacy Technician.
• Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., . BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements).
