Staff Today Inc. in Sacramento, CA is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in preparing, packaging, and dispensing medications in a correctional healthcare setting.

The ideal candidate holds a CA license/certification, has 1+ year of hospital experience, and can handle prescription processing, inventory, and billing with strong customer service. BLS and IV admixture are preferred. Training and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CA license/certification in good standing.
• 1+ years’ hospital setting experience.
• Certified Pharmacy Tech required.
• IV admixture experience preferred.
• American Heart Association BLS for Health Care Providers.
• Copy of PSV/compliance documents as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing, packaging, and dispensing medications.
• Receive and process prescription orders accurately.
• Measure, count, label, and package medications according to procedures.
• Maintain medication inventory and restock supplies as needed.
• Process insurance claims and assist with prescription billing.
• Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation.
• Ensure medications are stored properly and within expiration guidelines.
• Provide courteous customer service and direct clinical questions to the pharmacist.
• Follow pharmacy policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
