HAN Staff is seeking a Licensed Psychiatric Technician in Ione, CA. The role involves providing basic nursing care to patients with mental health conditions within a correctional healthcare setting.

You will monitor patients, assist with daily living activities, and administer medications per scope of practice. A CA license and 1+ year experience are required, with ongoing professional development supported.

Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestricted CA license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a Licensed Psychiatric Technician.

• Copies of required certifications (e.g., BLS, N95 fit, immunizations, TB test).

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient behavior, mood, and vital signs.
• Assist with daily living activities (hygiene, meals, mobility).
• Administer medications as directed and within scope of practice.
• Support patients during therapy and treatment activities.
• Report changes in patient condition to nurses or physicians.

• Document patient care and observations.
• Assist in crisis intervention and de-escalation.

Licensed Psychiatric Technician Duties & Responsibilities:

• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., . BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements).
