Job summary

San Carlos Apache Healthcare Corporation is looking for a Pharmacy Technician to join their team in Peridot, Arizona. The successful candidate will be responsible for compounding, preparing, and packaging pharmaceuticals under the supervision of a pharmacist. A key aspect of the role involves ensuring the accuracy of prescriptions and maintaining medication security.

Applicants must have a current Pharmacy Technician License in Arizona, as well as relevant certifications. The position is a permanent, full-time role with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• One year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Receive and review prescriptions or refill requests.
• Perform pharmaceutical and chemical calculations to prepare medications.
• Fill and deliver controlled substances according to department policies.
• Maintain medication security at all times.
• Perform inventory of pharmacy medications and supplies.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Current Pharmacy Technician License in Arizona

Current Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or EXCPT)
