Qualifications

• Certified Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA) obtained prior to hire date.
• Licensed Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Michigan Board of Pharmacy.
• High School diploma or equivalent from an accredited program.
• Graduate of a Pharmacy Tech program.

Responsibilities

• Package and label medications for dispensing.
• Compound creams, ointments, and oral solutions under pharmacist supervision.
• Manage patient orders, profiles, and records.
• Process prescriptions and refills using the pharmacy computer system.
• Assist in preparing intravenous admixtures and maintaining sterile products.
