Job summary

Trinity Health Pharmacy is seeking a qualified Pharmacy Technician in Grand Rapids, MI to support pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining inventory, and keeping patient records up to date.

Under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, you will provide courteous, timely service, assist with immunization processes, and ensure compliance with prescription plans and safety checks.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High school education or equivalent.
• Preferred: Completion of formal pharmacy technician training program.
• Minimum: Fully licensed as a pharmacy technician in the State of Michigan. Currently employed Pharmacy Technicians at Trinity Health may also satisfy this requirement with a Limited Pharmacy Technician Licensure.
• Preferred: National Certification as a Certified Pharmacy Technician
• Minimum: One year of pharmacy work experience.
• Minimum: Good written and verbal communication skills. Good math skills (multiplication, division, addition,subtraction) in calculations involving fractions, decimals, percentages and volumes. Good communicationskills.
• Familiarity with standard desktop and windows based computer system, including email, e-learning, intranet and computer navigation.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of a Registered Pharmacist, assists Pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory, and maintaining patient records.
• Provides courteous, cooperative, and timely service to patients, visitors and staff.
