Genoa Healthcare, part of Optum and UnitedHealth Group, is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to support the mental health and specialty pharmacy. Under direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, you will dispense medications, perform clerical duties and ensure compliance with federal and state requirements.

The position offers a Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm EST schedule at 330 Rutherford Ave., Charlestown, MA, with competitive benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in Massachusetts.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• Immunization Certification or ability to obtain upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and clinic staff.
• Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the Pharmacist.
• Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies.
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders.
• Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records.
• Works with the Pharmacist to assist in pharmacy functions and regulatory compliance.
• Performs various clerical duties relating to the department.
• Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Other duties as assigned.
