Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, part of UnitedHealth Group, seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support the mental health and specialty pharmacy in Charlestown, MA. Under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, you will dispense prescriptions and perform clerical duties for reliable patient care.

Hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm EST. Responsibilities include inventory management, processing orders, and maintaining compliance with federal/state requirements, with emphasis on accurate data entry and clear

Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician license.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• Preferred: National Pharmacy Technician Certification or Immunization Certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and clinic staff.
• Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the Registered Pharmacist.
• Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies.
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders.
• Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records.
• Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and ensure compliance with federal and state requirements.
• Performs various clerical duties related to the department.
• Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Other duties as assigned.
