Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, part of Optum, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support all functions of the Genoa mental health pharmacy, primarily through dispensing medical prescriptions and performing necessary clerical duties while under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.

Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm, in Morrisonville, NY, with duties including patient service, verification under supervision, inventory management, and compliance with federal and state requirements.

Qualifications

• Required: 1+ years of Pharmacy Technician experience.
• Access to reliable transportation with a valid US Driver’s License.
• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to consumers and clinics.
• Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist.
• Orders, receives, and stores incoming pharmacy supplies.
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders.
• Verifies medication stock and enters data to maintain inventory records.
• Assist the Pharmacist in pharmacy functions and ensure compliance with federal/state requirements.
• Performs various clerical duties related to the department.
• Communicate with strong verbal and written skills.
