Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, part of Optum and UnitedHealth Group, is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to support mental health and specialty pharmacy operations in Athol, MA. You will dispense prescriptions and perform clerical duties under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.

Hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm EST with a 12:30–1:00pm lunch. The role emphasizes accuracy, customer service, and compliance across federal and state requirements.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted MA Pharmacy Technician license.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred.
• Pharmacy and prescription data entry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to patients and clinic staff.
• FIlls prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the Pharmacist.
• Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies.
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders.
• Verifies medication stock and maintains inventory records.
• Assist Pharmacist in pharmacy functions and ensure compliance with federal/state requirements.
• Performs clerical duties for the department.
• Communicates with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Other duties as assigned.
