Job summary

Walgreens seeks a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to transform customer service into patient-centered care. You will interact with customers, assist pharmacists, and participate in an ASHP/DOL-recognized training program to become a PTCB-certified technician.

Training covers product knowledge, pharmacy systems, and clinical services coordination while maintaining accuracy and compliance in a busy retail setting.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Six months of experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Prior Walgreens experience preferred.
• Good math skills to fill prescriptions accurately.
• Good computer skills and knowledge of store inventory control.
• PTCB certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under supervision in the practice of pharmacy and related duties.
• Enter patient and drug information in pharmacy systems; process prescriptions.
• Assist with scheduling and maintaining workflow; help with third-party claims as needed.
• Maintain accurate cash handling and assist customers at OTC aisles.
• Support inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and stocking.
• Contribute to a courteous, patient-centric service experience.
