Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to be at the center of patient care, working with customers and building relationships. You’ll train through an ASHP/ DOL-recognized program, aiming to become PTCB certified and advance in pharmacy services.

As a Walgreens technician, you’ll use pharmacy systems, support the pharmacist, handle prescriptions, inventory, and customer interactions while maintaining compliance and excellent service.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Six months of experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Prior experience with Walgreens is a plus.
• Good math skills to assist in accurate prescription filling.
• Strong computer and store inventory control skills preferred.
• PTCB certification is preferred or pursuing certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in pharmacy duties.
• Process prescriptions using pharmacy systems and verify information.
• Enter patient and drug information, check for interactions, and assist with scheduling.
• Handle cash, assist customers, and maintain a positive customer experience.
• Support inventory management, ordering, unpacking, and stocking.
• Assist with clinical services as needed and coordinate with healthcare providers.
