Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Apprentice who will be at the center of customer interactions, supporting the pharmacist and delivering patient-focused care.

The role emphasizes training through our ASHP/DOL recognized apprenticeship, helping you pursue PTCB certification while gaining hands-on experience in pharmacy operations.

You will work under supervision, handle prescriptions, assist customers, and contribute to a seamless, friendly Walgreens experience.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior Walgreens experience.
• Prefer good math skills to fill prescriptions.
• Prefer good computer skills.
• Prefer knowledge of store inventory control.
• Prefer PTCB certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy and related duties.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Assist with cashier operations and ensure correct cash handling.
• Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Support inventory management and ensure proper storage of pharmaceuticals.
