Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to be at the heart of customer care, moving from transactions to patient-centered service. You will gain hands-on experience, participate in an ASHP/DOL-recognized apprenticeship, and earn while you learn while preparing to become PTCB certified.

You will assist pharmacists under supervision, process prescriptions, help maintain inventory, and deliver a friendly customer experience in a fast-paced retail pharmacy.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Six months of experience in a retail environment (preferred).
• Prior Walgreens experience (preferred).
• Good math skills for filling prescriptions.
• Good computer skills.
• Knowledge of store inventory control (preferred).
• PTCB certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in dispensing and related duties.
• Enter patient and drug information in pharmacy systems and process prescriptions.
• Assist with cash handling and point-of-sale transactions.
• Provide friendly, proactive customer service and support.
• Support inventory management and stock organization.
