Job summary

Pharmacare in Stafford, TX is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support daily operations under a pharmacist's supervision. You will handle prescription entries, compounding, labeling, and medication deliveries in a fast-paced long-term care environment.

The ideal candidate holds current TX technician registration, with CPR and IV certification preferred, and excellent accuracy and teamwork skills. This role emphasizes safety, compliance, and efficient pharmacy practices.

Qualifications

• Current state registration as a Pharmacy Technician in good standing.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) preferred.
• IV certification preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language fluently.

Responsibilities

• Enter prescription and physician order data into the pharmacy’s data processing system.
• Pull stock bottles and prepare medications for packaging and dispensing; affix labels to containers.
• Reconstitute medications as required.
• Package and label pre‑packaged medications.
• Assemble and audit emergency kits.
• Perform sterile and non‑sterile compounding per regulations and best practices.
• Procure and stock pharmaceuticals and ancillary supplies.
• Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
• Support maintenance of pharmacy equipment, environmental controls, cleanliness and organization.
• Utilize pharmacy operating systems and Microsoft applications.
• Assist with scheduling, coordination, and preparation of medication deliveries.
• Train newly hired technicians and student externs as assigned.
• Support auditing of patient records as needed.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Job Summary

The Pharmacy Technician supports daily pharmacy operations by preparing medications for dispensing under the direct supervision of a pharmacist and in accordance with state and federal regulations. This role plays a key part in medication preparation, inventory management, sterile and non‑sterile compounding, and maintaining an organized, compliant, and efficient pharmacy environment. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced long‑term care (LTC) pharmacy setting, with strong technical skills and a commitment to accuracy, safety, and teamwork.
