The Judge Group is seeking a detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician for our infusion pharmacy team in Houston, TX. You will assist with preparation, processing, and coordination of medications for patients receiving specialized infusion therapies.

Responsibilities include compounding, labeling, ensuring accuracy, maintaining cleanroom standards, and coordinating with infusion suites and providers while delivering HIPAA-compliant patient service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Active Texas Pharmacy Technician license.
• Minimum 1 year of Pharmacy Technician experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Adherence to HIPAA and pharmacy policies.

• Prepare, label, package, and organize compounded sterile products for patient distribution.
• Assist with cleaning and maintenance of pharmacy preparation areas and cleanroom environments.
• Sanitize medications and supplies prior to entry into cleanroom environments.
• Restock pharmacy and cleanroom inventory to ensure operational readiness.
• Organize and prioritize medication orders for daily production workflows.
• Enter prescriptions accurately from intake through order completion while verifying patient information.
• Serve as a liaison between patients, pharmacists, and healthcare providers.
• Coordinate treatment scheduling with infusion suites and outpatient facilities.
• Access, update, and retrieve prescription and laboratory information in the system.
• Verify reimbursement eligibility and assist in resolving insurance claims.

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and patient-focused Pharmacy Technician to join our growing infusion pharmacy team in Houston, Texas. This position plays a critical role in supporting the preparation, processing, and coordination of medications for patients receiving specialized infusion therapies.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately gather medications and supplies according to compounding record specifications.
• Prepare, label, package, and organize compounded sterile products for patient distribution.
• Assist with cleaning and maintenance of pharmacy preparation areas, cleanroom environments, and sterile compounding facilities, including required monthly deep-clean procedures.
• Sanitize medications and supplies prior to entry into cleanroom environments.
• Restock pharmacy and cleanroom inventory to ensure operational readiness.
• Organize and prioritize medication orders for daily production workflows.
• Package completed medication orders, ensuring all drug-related supplies and patient education materials are included.
• Prepare, scan, and maintain compounding documentation and records.
• Enter prescriptions accurately from intake through order completion while verifying patient and member information.
• Serve as a liaison between patients, pharmacists, physicians' offices, and healthcare providers.
• Conduct refill assessments, collect payment information, establish delivery arrangements, and coordinate treatment scheduling with infusion suites and outpatient facilities.
• Access, update, and retrieve prescription, laboratory, and medical information within pharmacy management systems.
• Verify reimbursement eligibility and assist in resolving rejected insurance claims.
• Process prescription refills and assess supply requirements for various therapies.
• Resolve patient and customer inquiries while providing accurate and timely information.
• Effectively manage multiple priorities and communications from various stakeholders.
• Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA guidelines, pharmacy policies, and all applicable state and federal regulations.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the State of Texas.
• Minimum of 1 year of Pharmacy Technician experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to multitask while maintaining high-quality standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB).
• Completion of a Pharmacy Technician Certification Program (CPhT).
• Experience with pharmacy or prescription data entry systems.
• Infusion pharmacy experience.
• Hospital, specialty pharmacy, retail pharmacy, or home infusion experience.
