PharmcareUSA is seeking a Pharmacy Technician
Pay is commensurate with experience in LTC.
Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Life Insurance, FSA/ HSA, Paid time off and Holidays available for full time employees.
Candidate must be certified as a pharmacy technician in the state in which they will be working, and available to work Full Time, including weekends.
Essential Functions
- Assist Pharmacist with input (when appropriate), filling and dispensing of all prescriptions
- Perform all filling and / or IV compounding of prescriptions with accuracy and reasonable speed
- Fill prescriptions per rules and regulations of all regulatory entities
- Answer telephone calls, assist caller when appropriate, or enlist Pharmacist to assist if appropriate
- Prepare medications to be delivered to facility per delivery schedule
- Assist any walk-in customers or direct to appropriate department
- Assist with ordering of medications from wholesaler along with proper inventory management
- Assist with Medication Returns and E-Kit management
- Maintain Pharmacy Technician License/Certification
- Will comply with all Corporate Initiatives and utilize provided tools/resources as appropriate

Physical Demands
- Must be able to routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
- Must be able to constantly operate a computer and other office equipment such as calculators, copy machines and printers up to 100% of the time;
- Regularly required to talk and hear in order to communicate effectively over the phone and in person;
- Must be able to see 100% of the time to recognize medications, detect inaccuracies, and observe the work of others with or without correction;
- This position is very active and requires standing for long periods, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching and stooping;
- Must be able to lift and/or transport materials weighing up to 25 pounds, up to 10% of the time;
- Must be able to tolerate normal office/pharmacy environment and exposure to various medications
