Job summary

Inova Health System is seeking a Pharmacy Technician 2 – Medication History for Falls Church, VA. This on-site role supports inpatient operations with a 7-on/7-off evening schedule (12pm–10pm).

You will maintain stock, assist with dispensing, and support pharmacists in medication preparation and education. Requires Virginia tech license or intern status and BLS within 3 months.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year inpatient pharmacy experience is required.
• Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of Virginia or a Pharmacy intern license is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 3 months of hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains an adequate stock of medications and supplies according to established policies.
• Accurately pre-packs medications and restocks code cart and stock kits.
• Restocks assigned areas, pulls unused medications, and uses inventory management procedures.
• Orders items, stocks shelves, processes returns and identifies vendor errors.
• Accurately fills automated dispensing devices and unit dose packs.
• Assists Pharmacist in drug selection and counting medications accurately.

Job Description

Inova Fairfax Hospital is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician 2 – Medication History to join the team. This role will be full-time rotating evening shift; 7on; 7off – Wednesdays – Tuesdays; 12pm – 10pm.

Education: High School or GED.

Experience: One (1) year inpatient pharmacy experience.

Certification: Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of Virginia or a Pharmacy intern license. Basic Life Support (BLS) within 3 months of hire.

Preferred Requirement:

Experience: M edication History/ Patient education or counseling experience .

Epic experience.
