Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for a full-time, rotating shift in Troy, MI. The role involves filling orders, preparing IV admixtures, restocking, and ensuring documentation integrity within the hospital pharmacy environment.

Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma or GED, with sterile compounding experience or ASHP-accredited technician training. State MI licensure upon hire is required or pharmacist intern licensure as an alternative.

Qualifications

• High school diploma program or GED.
• Experience with sterile compounding and/or 6 months technician experience and/or graduate of an ASHP accredited technician training program.
• LIC-Pharmacy Technician - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required Or
• LIC-Pharmacist Intern - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required

Responsibilities

• Fills medication orders including oral, injectable and topical medications and intravenous admixtures.
• Assists in the bulk manufacturing of special pharmaceutical products.
• Prepares and distributes floor stock items in response to requisition forms.
• Inventories and restocks shelves in immediate work area, checks for outdated drugs.
• Enters charges and credits into the computer for all medications and IV admixtures dispensed from the Pharmacy, documents all medications and IV solutions returned to the Pharmacy.
• Distributes prepared medications to patient care areas and/or other departments of the Hospital.
• Performs necessary record keeping functions.
• Answers telephone and assists at Pharmacy window.
• May rotate within hospital and out-patient pharmacy service areas as required.
• Maintains the work area in a safe, orderly manner.
• Follows appropriate clean room (797) guidelines in the preparation of intravenous admixtures.

About Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital

In response to the health care needs of a growing community, in 1977, Corewell opened a new 189-bed hospital on rural farmland in Troy. Today, Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital has grown to 530 licensed beds and offers a comprehensive array of health care services, continuing to develop to meet the needs of the growing communities it serves.
