Job summary

Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital in Troy, MI is seeking a part-time Pharmacy History Technician to support pharmacists with documenting and clarifying medication histories. The role requires 30 hours per week on a rotating shift and involves entering and interpreting histories in the computerized system under pharmacist direction.

You will communicate with providers, patients, and pharmacies, and participate in department projects while working with multiple medication automation systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Associate's Degree in health care or related field preferred.
• 1 year of relevant pharmacy-related experience required.
• 2 years of relevant experience in Retail Pharmacy preferred.
• Licensure as Pharmacist Intern (MI) or Pharmacy Technician (MI) required; CPHT/ExCPT certification within 90 days required.

Scope of Work

Provides technical assistance in the documentation and clarification of medication history lists under the direction of the pharmacist. Processes, enters, and interprets physician/nurse medication histories, under the direction of the pharmacist, and completes full history documentation in computerized system. Clarifies information through communication with providers, patients, and pharmacies. Performs special projects for the department. Works with multiple medication automation systems.

Qualifications

• Required High School Diploma or equivalent
• Preferred Associate's Degree health care or related field
• 1 year of relevant experience Pharmacy Required
• 2 years of relevant experience Retail Pharmacy Preferred
• LIC-Pharmacist Intern - STATE_MI State of Michigan required Or
• LIC-Pharmacy Technician - STATE_MI State of Michigan required And
• CRT-Pharmacy Technician, Certified (CPHT) - PTCB Pharmacy Technician Certification Board 90 Days required Or
• CRT-Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT) - NHA National Healthcareer Association 90 Days required
