As a Technician, you will support the pharmacy team in operational and service excellence within your store. Technicians are often the first contact for patients and customers, helping deliver an exceptional experience. They assist in ensuring prescriptions are filled safely, accurately, and promptly, and provide caring service exceeding patient expectations. Technicians operate as part of the pharmacy team, applying Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), best practices, and effective communication.

Throughout their shifts, they demonstrate genuine care and contribute to a safe, inclusive culture where all feel valued and empowered. Once in role, Technicians must complete rigorous training and meet all registration, licensing, and certification requirements per State’s Board of Pharmacy guidelines. Until all requirements are met, duties may be restricted by the Pharmacy Manager.

Responsibilities include:

1. Living our purpose by following SOPs to help Pharmacists manage and improve patient health.
2. Following pharmacy workflow procedures for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
3. Creating positive patient experiences through empathy, personalized service, and offering additional health services like immunizations.
4. Completing inventory activities, such as managing medication deliveries and cycle counts.
5. Contributing to a high-performing team, embracing growth, and seeking knowledge to better assist patients.
6. Remaining flexible for scheduling and business needs, including traveling to other stores as needed.
7. Understanding and complying with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies to ensure safety and privacy.
8. Supporting additional patient health services, including immunizations, where law and training permit.

Supporting immunizations involves obtaining licensure, educating patients, monitoring reactions, and managing vaccine supplies.
