Job summary

Ascension Sacred Heart Bay in Panama City, FL is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team on a full-time, rotating-shift schedule.

You will refill and maintain automated dispensing systems, prepare orders, maintain inventory, and assist with sterile and non-sterile compounding while liaising with patients and health professionals to provide information.

Qualifications

• Required Credential(s): Registered Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Florida Board of Pharmacy or PTCB before hire date.
• Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of experience OR Associate's/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable experience.

• Refills and maintains automated dispensing systems.
• Prepares orders and maintains inventory for the Pharmacy department.
• Prepares sterile and non-sterile compounds.
• Repackages bulk medications.
• Receives and stores incoming supplies.
• Triages incoming calls and serves as a liaison between pharmacy, patient and health professionals by providing information.

Education

High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
• One or more of the following:
• Registered Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Florida Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
