Job Description

Provide exceptional customer service to help people live healthier lives by treating customers and employees fairly and ethically, ensuring a safe, clean, inclusive environment, and providing the right products, services, and care at the right time with fair and accurate pricing. Provide direct patient intervention with health and wellness services consistent with state and federal laws. Responsibilities
  • Comply with local, state, and federal regulations; report all illegal activity, including robbery, theft, or fraud.
  • Comply with and reinforce all food safety, sanitation, and safety regulations/guidelines/procedures and programs according to company, local, state, and federal health code regulations; identify unsafe conditions and notify store management.
  • Understand and perform ordering functions with primary and secondary wholesalers.
  • Understand and follow company guidelines on computerized inventory management, control, and ordering of all medications, devices, supplements, and supplies.
  • Maintain departmental standards including keeping clean and organized workstations and customer waiting areas.
  • Count, measure, and prepare specified products using company best practices.
  • Complete billing procedures adequately to assure best value to the customer and the company.
  • Answer phone and triage calls and answer inquiries as appropriate.
  • Understand and adhere to guidelines on accepting and tendering vendor coupons, limits on cash shortages, and company shrink guidelines.
  • Operate the cash register and follow all cashier handling policies to prevent loss, including tendering electronic fund transactions such as Credit/Debit Cards, EBT, and Gift Cards, as well as cash and check transactions.
  • Provide a stellar customer experience while accurately and efficiently completing all steps of reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing.
  • Assist pharmacist in all responsibilities except those requiring the pharmacist’s professional judgment.
  • Understand and adhere to HIPAA regulations and the company’s policies regarding the same.
  • Support company health and wellness initiatives.
  • Put away legend orders, including Central Fill deliveries.
  • Work cooperatively in a high‑paced and sometimes stressful environment.
  • Manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational, and cooperative manner.
  • Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
  • Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues.
  • Assist minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults through direct interaction.
  • Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Qualifications
  • Minimum
  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • Any previous comparable experience.
  • Equivalent experience as a pharmacy clerk.
  • Familiarity with EPRN.
