Corewell Health's Lenox Township outpatient pharmacies are seeking a part-time pharmacy technician for 28 hours per week with day shifts (Mon-Fri, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.).
The role supports pharmacy operations under pharmacist supervision, handling preparation, storage, distribution and dispensing of prescriptions. MI licensure is required upon hire for either Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacist Intern; sterile compounding experience is preferred.
Lenox Twp and St Clair Shores Outpatient Pharmacies - Part time, 24 hours per week, day shift, Monday-Friday.
Our team is comprised of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. Our inpatient pharmacy team collaborates closely with healthcare providers to ensure optimal medication management for hospitalized patients. We oversee the medication storage, distribution, and management in a variety of settings. We review medication orders for accuracy and potential interactions, accurately prepare and dispense medications, provide evidence-based drug information, monitor drug levels to optimize therapy, and educate patients and families about their medications. By prioritizing medication safety and minimizing adverse events, we strive to improve patient outcomes and contribute to their overall well-being.
Under the direction and supervision of a Pharmacist, performs a variety of functions related to preparation, storage, distribution and dispensing of prescriptions. Within the Hospital, rotation through IV admixture and unit dose service is routine. Rotation to OR Pharmacy Services and Outpatient Pharmacy Services may be required. Performs data entry and other record keeping functions as determined to be necessary to the operations of the department.
