Responsibilities
- Comply with all local, state, and federal regulations; report illegal activities such as robbery, theft, or fraud.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and safety guidelines according to company and health authority regulations; report unsafe conditions.
- Perform ordering functions with primary and secondary wholesalers.
- Manage inventory and ordering of medications, devices, and supplies using company systems.
- Maintain clean and organized workstations and customer areas.
- Prepare products according to company standards.
- Complete billing procedures accurately to ensure value for customers and the company.
- Answer phones, triage calls, and respond to inquiries appropriately.
- Follow guidelines on vendor coupons, cash shortages, and shrink policies.
- Operate cash register following policies to prevent loss, handling various payment methods.
- Deliver excellent customer service while accurately completing reception, data entry, and product dispensing.
- Assist pharmacists with responsibilities excluding professional judgment.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and company policies on patient confidentiality.
- Support health and wellness initiatives of the company.
- Work effectively in high-paced and stressful environments.
- Manage conflicts professionally and cooperatively.
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
- Follow directions and seek help when needed to resolve issues.
- Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
- Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
Qualifications
MINIMUM
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Meet state requirements for the role
DESIRED
- Previous relevant experience
- Experience as a pharmacy clerk
- Familiarity with EPRN
