Hartford Hospital is actively hiring Pharmacy Technicians for our inpatient Pharmacy Department. All interested candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply. Various shifts are open, including full-time, part-time, and per diem positions.

The following positions may be available at the time of application: Pyxis Technician, Medication History Technician, and Sterile Product Technician.

Hartford Hospital is a leading teaching hospital and Level 1 Trauma Center providing cutting-edge treatment. Our Pharmacy Department utilizes a decentralized model with pharmacists embedded on medical teams. Under supervision of pharmacists, technicians perform functions such as unit dose dispensing, compound preparation, and medication history collection, with opportunities to specialize further.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of Pharmacy Technician program preferred
• Current National Pharmacy Technician Certification strongly preferred
• Pharmacy registration with Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection within 30 days of hire and annually by March 31st
• Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred
• Experience in sterile compounding is a plus
