Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be 18 years old
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information
  • Meets minimum state requirements to perform the functions related to the position

Desired Qualifications:

  • Any previous comparable experience
  • Any equivalent experience of a pharmacy clerk
  • EPRN familiarity

Responsibilities include:

  • Complying with local, state, and federal regulations; reporting all illegal activity, including robbery, theft, or fraud
  • Following all food safety, sanitation, and safety regulations/guidelines/procedures according to company and health codes; identifying unsafe conditions and notifying management
  • Understanding and performing ordering functions with primary and secondary wholesalers
  • Managing inventory and ordering of medications, devices, supplements, and supplies using company systems
  • Maintaining departmental standards, including cleanliness and organization
  • Counting, measuring, and preparing products as per best practices
  • Completing billing procedures accurately
  • Answering phones, triaging calls, and handling inquiries
  • Adhering to guidelines on accepting vendor coupons, cash shortages, and shrink guidelines
  • Operating cash registers and handling transactions securely
  • Providing excellent customer service while accurately completing reception, data entry, adjudication, and dispensing steps
  • Assisting pharmacists with responsibilities, excluding those requiring professional judgment
  • Adhering to HIPAA regulations and company policies
  • Supporting health and wellness initiatives
  • Managing legend orders and deliveries
  • Working cooperatively in high-paced and stressful environments
  • Managing conflict professionally
  • Acting with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
  • Following directions and seeking assistance when needed
  • Supporting interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
  • Performing essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations
