Job summary
Mercy Hospital Southeast is seeking Pharmacy Technician II–III to assist pharmacists in preparing, compounding, and dispensing medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist responsible for patient safety.
Tech I–III require education and licensure with FBI background fingerprinting; Tech II requires 1 year experience (Tech III requires 3 years) and CPhT certification. Mercy offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalence.
- Licensure: Missouri Board of Pharmacy registration as a Pharmacy Technician or willingness to submit application by first day of work (including FBI background check).
- Experience: Tech I – 1 year preferred but not required; Tech II – 1 year required; Tech III – 3 years required.
- Certifications: CPhT by PTCB for Tech II/III.

The Pharmacy Tech II follows applicable standards and federal, state & local laws and regulations for the care and safety of the customers and patients served.

- Licensure: Actively registered, in good standing, with the Missouri Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician or willing to submit application for registration by first day of work. This includes submitting fingerprints for FBI background check.
- Experience: 1-year relevant pharmacy experience preferred but not required.
- Other: Successfully complete pharmacy department orientation.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalence exam.
- Licensure: Actively registered, in good standing, with the Missouri Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician or willing to submit application for registration by first day of work. This includes submitting fingerprints for FBI background check.
- Experience: 1-year relevant pharmacy experience required; 2 years preferred.
- Certifications: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalence exam.
- Licensure: Actively registered, in good standing, with the Missouri Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician or willing to submit application for registration by first day of work. This includes submitting fingerprints for FBI background check.
- Experience: 3-year relevant pharmacy experience required
- Certifications: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
