Job summary

Walgreens in Orlando is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to perform data entry and patient registration, resolve third party rejects, and respond to high-volume inquiries under supervision. You will use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and support pharmacists across locations.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, basic PC skills, and the ability to obtain a state technician license within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must obtain active pharmacy technician license/certification within 90 days and maintain it.
• Preferred: Pharmacy technician certification or state registration.

Responsibilities

• Using Walgreens prescription data entry procedures and guidelines, process new patient registration by entering data into appropriate system.
• Handle patient prescription requests and refill orders while adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
• Resolve Third Party Rejects by reviewing, gathering information, and resubmitting per plan requirements.
• Provide assistance to Pharmacists at the facility and other locations; escalate issues as needed.
