Job summary

Advocate Health Care is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for the Enterprise Pharmacy - Transitions of Care Services in a full-time, 40-hour week role. The position supports acute care transitions and requires strong accuracy, communication, and teamwork.

The role operates 2nd shift 1:00 PM–9:30 PM with every other weekend, offers benefits eligibility, and requires state licensure/training as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT or ExCPT) and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Requires Registration/Licensure with state board of pharmacy per state of employment requirements.
• Certification through CPhT or ExCPT is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes area-specific work as outlined by standard processes, procedures and adherent to policies.
• Serves as an expert with equipment and technology in specialized area.
• Problem solves technical issues in the specialized area as they arise.
• Ensures documents and records are accurate and completed in a timely fashion.
• Supports methods of communication and coordination with patients and care team.
• Identifies quality improvement opportunities to ensure safe, effective patient care.
• Maintains updated knowledge and skills and contributes to education of others.
