Job summary

Kennedy University Hospitals, Inc is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for a full-time evening shift (3p-11:30p, M-F) to support inpatient and outpatient operations. The role involves preparing orders, dispensing under supervision, restocking Pyxis, and ensuring proper billing and documentation.

The position requires a high school diploma and PA RPT certification on hire; NJ certification rules apply within 12 months.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED is required.
• RPT - Registered Pharmacy Technician must be obtained upon hire (PA).
• PTCB certification must be obtained within 12 months or per training program; Jersey specifics apply.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Kennedy University Hospitals.
• Prepares drug orders from Physicians for review and dispensing by a Registered Pharmacist.
• Replenishes Pyxis machines and monitors refrigerator temperatures; documents corrective actions.
• Counts, compounds and repackages pharmaceuticals following established procedures.
• Dispenses medications and distributes to patient areas; restocks inventory and checks for expired items.
• Performs billing/crediting functions to ensure proper medication billing and waste documentation.
