Job summary

Piedmont Newnan Hospital in Georgia seeks a Pharmacy Technician to prepare IV admixtures, unit dose syringes, and chemotherapy medications for critical care and OR satellite areas. You will maintain stock levels and follow standard procedures under state and federal regulations.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED; pharmacy technician experience with IV admixtures preferred; current PHRMTECH-R registration is required with PTCB certification preferred.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Experience as a pharmacy technician with IV admixtures preferred.
• Current registration with the State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician (PHRMTECH-R) required upon hire; PTCB certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare admixtures of medications to IV solutions.
• Prepare unit dose syringes and chemotherapy medications.
• Compound solutions/medications for critical care and OR satellite areas.
• Maintain adequate stock levels and follow SOPs and regulations.
