Job summary

Parkwest Medical Center, part of Covenant Health, is recruiting a Pharmacy Technician for PRN/OCC, variable hours. Under a pharmacist's supervision, you will prepare, dispense and distribute medications, support the patient profile system, and help maintain a 24-hour inpatient supply.

You will assist with unit-dose extemporaneous preparation, inventory control, and ensuring timely medication delivery across patient-care areas while adhering to safety and formulary guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Licensure by Tennessee Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Fill medication orders and outpatient prescriptions to be verified by pharmacist.
• Assist in maintaining the computerized patient profile system.
• Support 24-hour inpatient medication supply and extemporaneous unit dose preparation.
• Verify integrity of emergency carts and assist patient-care areas with timely delivery.
• Monitor medication expiration dates and manage inventory.
