Job summary

Mercyhealth in Janesville, WI is seeking detail-oriented Pharmacy Technicians with inpatient experience to support medication preparation, packaging, inventory, and operations in a fast-paced hospital setting.

You will handle IV solutions, assist in dispensing, stock management, and ensure USP 795/797 compliance. Must have Pharmacy Technician Licensure and PTCB or NHA certification. This is a PRN/Pool position with variable shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Graduate from Pharmacy Technician Program preferred.
• Pharmacy Technician Licensure required.
• PTCB or Certification through NHA required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and packages medications (oral and IV) for delivery to dispensing systems or designated areas.
• Retrieves, counts, measures, and compounds drugs under Pharmacist direction using barcode tech.
• Delivers medications and supplies safely to nursing units and stock areas.
• Matches medication to dispensing labels and selects components for dispensed products.
• Assists in inventory control and checks to prevent stockouts and manage expiration dates.
• Triages phone calls and communicates within the department.
