Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Fill medication orders and prescriptions for verification.
• Assist with computerized patient profile system.
• Maintain inpatient medication supply.
• Prepare extemporaneous unit dose medications.
• Verify integrity of emergency carts.
• Facilitate expedited medication delivery.
• Demonstrate proficiency in aseptic techniques and IV preparation.
• Perform mathematical calculations for medication doses.
• Reconcile IV doses and document discrepancies.
• Transmit drug orders to wholesalers.
• Accurately stock and rotate pharmacy inventory.
• Monitor expiration dates on medications.
• Follow safety standards and education requirements.
