Job summary

Medical City Denton is seeking a Pharmacy Tech PRN to support the pharmacy team. Reporting to a pharmacist and the Director of Pharmacy, you will assist with order review, IV preparation, delivery, charging, and restocking duties across hospital units.

The role requires hospital pharmacy experience, Texas Tech license, and IV therapy certifications, with readiness to train and cover rotating shifts. Competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 1+ year hospital pharmacy experience including preparation of IV admixtures.
• Registered in Texas as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Annual certification by PTCB preferred.
• IV Therapy; ACPE IV certification required.
• Pharmacy Technician License.
• High School Graduate / GED.
• Must be able to type and perform dose calculations.
• Understand SOPs for hazardous drugs risks.

Responsibilities

• Review and enter medication orders under supervision.
• Prepare, deliver, and charge medications/IVs.
• Restock ADC cabinets and par medications/IVs.
• Assist with purchasing and repackaging.
• Train new personnel and perform related duties.

Skills

Hospital pharmacy experience

IV preparation

PTCB certification preferred

IV therapy certification required

Texas Pharmacy Technician license

Typing and dose calculations

Education
