Job summary

University Hospitals is seeking a Pharmacy Technician IV, Inventory Specialist to maintain medication and supply inventory and support purchasing and receiving activities at the Cleveland campus.

The role requires a certified pharmacy technician with strong math, communication, and knowledge of pharmacy systems. Expect collaboration with pharmacists and cross-functional teams, with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to storage and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician program preferred.
• Minimum three years as a Certified Pharmacy Technician.
• Ohio CPhT license required.
• Experience in hospital or healthcare setting preferred.
• Knowledge of Willow inventory system and pharmacy software.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate medication and supply inventory.
• Assist with supply ordering and receiving.
• Validate barcodes in the Willow inventory system.
• Perform cycle counts.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of meds and supplies.
• Monitor expiration dates and remove outdated items.
• Rotate inventory to minimize waste.
• Support recalls and inventory reconciliation.
• Develop standardized inventory workflows and procedures.
• Assist with department initiatives to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Perform other duties as assigned by pharmacy leadership.
