Job summary

University Hospitals Pain Management is seeking a Pharmacy Technician 4 to perform advanced functions across inpatient, outpatient, medication history, and infusion workflows, with emphasis on training staff and coordinating technical operations.

Candidates will work with automated dispensing cabinets and pharmacy technology, ensure drug stock integrity, and lead daily huddles and special duties as assigned under UH leadership.

Qualifications

• Advanced and/or specialized technician responsibilities.
• Training and orientating new employees.
• Coordinating workflow adjustments and staffing.

Responsibilities

• Expertly prepares sterile and non-sterile products per USP standards.
• Oversees non-sterile compounding with proper beyond-use dating.
• Triages hardware/software malfunctions for ADCs and automation.
• Maintains drug stock and proper par levels to minimize waste.
• Precepts and trains new staff on workflows and safety protocols.
• Lead daily huddle as assigned.
• Supports PHI compliance and department policies.
