Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician program preferred.
• Prior experience as a pharmacy technician in a hospital or community setting preferred.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) State of Ohio CPhT license required.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in retrieving, processing, and distributing medications.
• Accurate preparation of patient medications including sterile products.
• Maintain drug stock and orient new staff.

Skills

Understanding of metric system and basic math concepts

Good communication skills

Knowledge of personal computer and related tools

Basic knowledge of pharmacy computer systems

Education

High School Equivalent / GED
