Job summary

Chattanooga College Medical, Dental & Technical Careers (MDTC) seeks an adjunct instructor to support Pharmacy Technology students with practicum and clinical instruction, lesson planning, and assessments. You will mentor learners, maintain records, and promote equity and student success in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have a PharmD or CPhT, plus 4+ years of clinical pharmacy experience and 1+ year of teaching or training.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Pharmacy Technology or related field preferred.
• PharmD or Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) required.
• Minimum of 4 years of clinical pharmacy experience required.
• At least 1 year of teaching or training experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides instruction and academic support to a diverse population of Pharmacy Technology students.
• Delivers engaging and effective instruction in pharmacy-related courses, including practicum lab and/or clinical components.
• Prepares lesson plans, assignments, and assessments aligned with curriculum standards.
• Counsels and supports students through individual and group sessions to address academic concerns.
• Educates students on program expectations, policies, procedures, and resources.
• Maintains accurate documentation of attendance, grades, and progress in compliance with standards.
