Chattanooga College Medical, Dental & Technical Careers (MDTC) is seeking an Adjunct Instructor – Pharmacy Technology to support Pharmacy Technician students with practicum labs, lesson planning, and assessments. The role emphasizes strong interpersonal communication, mentorship, and engaging instructional techniques.

The position requires PharmD or CPhT certification and an associate degree in Pharmacy Technology (preferred).

Qualifications

  • PharmD or CPhT certification is required.
  • Associate degree in Pharmacy Technology is preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years of clinical pharmacy experience is required.
  • At least 1 year of teaching or training experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides instruction and academic support to Pharmacy Technology students, including regular progress updates.
  • Delivers practicum lab and/or clinical instruction aligned with curriculum standards.
  • Prepares lesson plans, assignments, and assessments.
  • Counsels and supports students through individual and group sessions.
  • Educates students on program expectations, policies, procedures, and available resources.
  • Maintains accurate documentation of attendance, grades, and progress in compliance with standards.
  • Collaborates with faculty and staff to promote engagement, retention, and successful outcomes.
  • Upholds confidentiality and complies with FERPA and institutional policies.
